Laborer Upholstery

Job Description
We are looking to hire general laborers who possess skills in use of small hand tools and have good hand and eye coordination. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing the prescribed pre-cut materials in the replacement of seats in buses as assigned to meet the desired specifications. Prior experience in upholstery repair is not required and training is available. You will be required to dismantle the seat in which the upholstery will be replaced. Work schedulc 8:00AM-4:00PM Monday through Friday. The opportunity exist to go from temporary-to permanent.
Job Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to lift, pull, and manipulate small frame objects.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and walk for up to eight hours a day.
Additional Information
• Dismantling seats for upholstery preparation.
• Measuring and cutting Velcro strips with the aid of small box cutters and leather or fabric.
• Installing fabric to seat framework with adhesive.
• Stretching out and installing fabric or leather coverings.
• Gluing fabric into place.
• Smoothing out imperfections.
• Conducting quality checks on completed orders.
