Light Industrial Groundskeeper/Custodian

• Receive and complete work orders.
• Ability to operate custodial and grounds care equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the methods and practices of custodial work.
• Mow and detail all district grounds, including athletic fields.
• Care for trees, shrubs, and flowers by watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, caring for beds, and
• controlling weeds.
• Plant shrubs and vegetation.
• Assist with the preparation of athletic fields for games, including chalking fields.
• Collect and dispose of leaves, dirt, rubbish, and refuse from district facilities.
• Assist with the inspection, repair, and maintenance.
• Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
• Notify immediate supervisor of unsafe conditions in work area.
• Help keep vehicle, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition.
• Assist in all areas of Auxiliary Services as needed (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, custodial, HVAC, grounds, painting, food service, transportation, distribution center, etc.).
• Perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as may, from time to time, be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state issued picture identification.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Fingerprinting may be required for site identification badge.
